I am very happy that you guys started this site, however, it does not work. I have gotten no responses to my dilemma and every day my situation gets more and more dire. There has got to be a way to make this work. So that rich people can feel comfortable helping us without thinking they will get scammed. If not, I don't see why anyone would donate. I wouldn't donate to anyone here even if I had the money, for the simple reason that it could just be some druggie wanting money to fund his habit. Very sad that we live in a world where situations like this prevent the truly needy from getting the help they need.

  Hi there.  I hate doing this, but I am getting desperate. I'm a single  mom with 2 boys. I work very hard at my job, but I live paycheck to paycheck.  Last payperiod, my work had to cut the workers down because it was a slow week. Since I'm fairly new there, I was cut 3 times. This cut my paycheck down to half.   I ended up $700 short for rent and bills.  

   My 2 paychecks that I get every month are just enough to cover rent, bills and some food.  We don't go out for fun.  We have to find free things to do that don't involve driving a great distance.  We only buy food on sale, and we don't buy new clothes.  We usually go to goodwill.  When a situation like this arises, I don't know what to do.   My ex ran out on us and I havent received child support in over 2 years.

  Please, if you could help in any way, shape or form it would greatly be appreciated.  I would even pay back a small loan.  Believe me that I would rather earn the money I get, but sometimes in life, you fall short.
